Just replaced a CP3 that was leaking externally with a brand new CP3 on a 04. After we get done with it we fire it up and it has a slight miss. Let it run for a good while and run it up the road and back and miss is pretty bad. Start to smell fuel again so checked oil level and its way overfull.
now any other time I would say its an injector for sure but this ones wierd. it had no indication of fuel in the oil when it came in and ran fine. We sucked soem of the over full crank case out and seemed to take some of the miss away but its still there.
Its either got to be an injetcor or front seal on the new pump but how likly is a new pump to leak at the seal? Seems pretty unlikly to me but has me kinda worried cause it wasnt growing oil when it came in.
