I am not real familar with the 6.2, and I just bought mine, lol. My question is, if it is warm outside, and you have been driving your truck, do you have to wait for the glow plug light to go off before you start it?
How long does it take for the light to go off?
You are supposed to wait, even though you might be able to start without waiting.

It takes about 5 seconds, it never lasts longer than 7 or 8 seconds.
Sounds like it works fine, at least for the timer.
Can't wait 5 seconds to start your truck? ;)

LOL, yeah I can, just wanted to be as easy as possible on the glow plugs. But it is kinda hard to wait that long to start this ole beast up,lol. This is my first diesel, I have wanted one orever but just couldn't get one.

Good to hear that you care about your truck :) If you see it the other way round, the glow plugs make the engine easier to start, so using them makes it easier on the starter (and maybe on the engine, too?).

Hehe, I installed new glow plugs in mine today. Now glowing takes even longer ... :)
