I just bought a 2005 duramax a couple weeks ago and i ordered my exhaust, but it wasnt until after i already ordered it that i found out that codes pop up like crazy when you cut of the converter and muffler. I've looked at some chat rooms and hear about some EGR false code eliminators that i can put on. If anyone else has had to do this please help me on what to do. Thanks

First, this has been moved to the exhaust section, where it needs to be.

Second, not all trucks throw codes when removing the cats. You may get lucky and not have any problems. You might not, but like you already know, there are fixes for that.

Like Nick said, don't assume your going to have problems with codes. Most FE9 emissions trucks don't have a lot of problems. Fingers said they will always code but mine has never had a light or a code show up on my Quad. when I've checked.

i have a 5" and no codes yet and if you do get one you can either get a finger stick to eliminate it or you can get a ppe tuner which will allow you to take care of egr codes.... keep the exhaust!!!!!
