Not sure if this is the right place, but it smacks of tire comparisons so it seems good to me.

Someone had the idea of a burnout thread, so here it is! Post links to videos of your burnouts for all to see and admire ;)

Here's my best one to date with some 245/75-16 tires on stock rims:

for all the smoke and squealing, it only wore about 1/4" off the tires

that give the best burnouts are the ones in other people's cars with you at the wheel.

So given the price of tires, you did a $200 burnout.

Come spring time, I will see how well Cooper Discoverer ATR's do burnouts when I replace them. Will make sure to get pics and video.

Debating if I should go with the Coopers again or Toyo's.

Most of my tires that I do this to cost $50-$100 for a set of 4 and are usually at least 1/2 wore down by the time I get to destroying them. :D That burnout was like $25 worth of tires since they only lost about half their tread and there was still the front set left to smoke another day :driver::D

Wow first time i have seen a 4500 light them up.
EDIT:Thinking about it more i kinda lied, First time i have seen one on video but not in person! I did quite a few PDI's on them while i was at the dealership before they got sent out to have whatever types of beds installed on them, No weight over the rear axle made for some GOOD times! I remember the first time i drove a 2007.5 and floored it at 25mph also:muahaha: There is quite a few things i miss not working for the dealership anymore but the pay sure isnt one of them!:rippedhan

Anyways back on topic, This isnt my video but i saw the link to this one when i was watching the 4500 video.
Finishing off a set of 20's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAAftzW3cAM&feature=related)
I'd say he did a very fine job :ro)

You must get free mounting. Mounting and balancing alone would cost more than that.

$3 per mount/dismount.. who cares about balancing when you do to them what I do....... ;). It costs a whopping $6.36 to get 2 "fresh" tires ready to roast. Where do you get yours mounted that cost so much?

The last ones I had mounted and balanced was at Belle Tire - $80 for all 4.

I just go to the local OK tire where my buddy's cousin works, probably why I get the hookup. ;) The when I went to Discount tire a few years back it ended up being about $100 bucks to dismount/mount/balance/dispose of 4 of the old tires. Now I just go local and keep my old tires, it's cheaper that way.
