dont get me wrong this thing makes up for it in holding power:D

You will have more vibration adn noise than stock. I have the single disc Feramic and I experience both. These clutches are designed to hold HP and Torque well above what the Stock stuff will survive, by doing this Drivability and the grabby feel are what we have to take in trade for a great product

Make sure you got the correct flywheel as they changed the balancing of the flywheels in mid 06's and if you got one of those it will shake like a dog craping bones. I know from my personal experience with my 06 truck which had a flywheel on it from a lb7 truck. Just wouldn't hurt to check with whoever you baught it from to make sure. Good luck with the clutch. I loved my single disc which was smooth as butter and held all the ppe 225 tune could throw at it. Always an option if you get tired of the vibration.

thanks for the input guys

however i found the issue and it turns out that i am an idiot

it just needed a few 100 miles to "break in" now it almost feels stock and very streetable

slight rattle with clutch (normal)

well i say it feels stock that is untill you stand on it then
you passenger starts to cry:help:, mustangs disapear in your mirrors and you
Struggle with all of your strength to reach the shifter to catch the next gear :D at witch point you black out from pulling to many "Gs"
i was thinkng of getting one of those suits the fighter pilots wear to help with this!! :driver:

I think that is pretty much the common occurance. I love the fact that I can put my foot to the floor and it's not gonna slip, but it's like it was stated before that to hold that power drivability and the grabiness are the price we pay. The only thing I would love to change about mine is the ability to shift quicker. I'm guessing it's the clutch drag from having dual discs that causes this. I still wouldn't trade it for that dual-mass piece of scrap that came in it.

i am glad you said that about the slower shift that is one thing i realllly dont like but if you hit it just right it seems to be ok i just havent figured out how to hit it just right every time

DD Max Con will take more than 100 miles to get broke in. The DD will be more noisy than a stock and mor vibration. Strongly suggest getting a Fluidampr on your trunk now. Funny that now both Ford and Dodge are putting viscous harmonic dampers on their diesel trucks and GM is not.

Fluidampr will also reduce the noise a bit. Check out my webpage for Vibration Damper and feel free to call me if you have questions.

What's the story with the different balance on the '06? I have an early-ish '06 built in December '05, and it is perfectly smooth. I was one of if not the first to buy the sprung dual disc, so I'm pretty sure I have the same flywheel as the LB7 and LLY. That being said, how do we know what rotating assembly is in our engine? Us '06 guys, I mean.

I wouldn't mind doing a fluidampr, but I want to make sure I get the right one. I don't want to find out at 3200 rpm that the crank all of a sudden doesn't like the balance anymore...

I agree with 135boom3. If you hit the shift just perfect, it's like butter. I think that's been one of the biggest peaves of mine. Don't get me wrong, I love the truck and the 6spd and don't mean to sound at all like I'm complaining. I think that from what I've found, I get the best shifts when I rev it to where I want to shift and then back out of it and slip it out of gear then clutch and hit the next gear. I think the clutch drag adds to the difficulty coupled with the fact that as soon as the clutch comes back out, it's gonna grab and slow the motor down with it creating a lil bit of a bucking. I'm also running Royal Purple in the tranny and think that if i'd switch it to Amsoil it would be better. If I decide to keep the truck, which I'm likely going to, a Fluidamper is goin on it.
