I plan on one of two things for my engine. A banks turbo or a 6.5 turbo setup. however, has anyone ever intercooled a 6.2? Seems to me it would be possible to clock the compressor housing 180 out so plumbing could be routed towards the fender and back around to a intercooler. Any thoughts?

Compressor housing can be rotated whichever direction you want, most guys I've seen with Intercooler setups point the downward and mount the Air to Air where the skid plate goes. What are your other plans for the engine? Your going to have to upgrade the pump first, 4911(6.5 HD) or 4970(6.5 SD) would be best with stock engine, 6.5 turbo injectors would be the next thing to swap out.

I assume you're controlling boost via the BOV. Whats the intercooler from? Also is there any concern about the intake duct? it looks like a rather harsh transition?

remove this fitting and replace it and the hard line with heater hose before it goes and you have a coolant sprinkler system under the hood. the aluminum pipe likes to snap right at the fitting. a visit to the HELP! section at any parts store should provide you with the NPT nipple. yes i said it, nipple.

the little silver topped thingy is my wastegate, not using a blowoff. The intercooler is from a '99 up powerstroke. That rubber 90 degree hose is just something I had laying around, haven't figured out the air box set up yet.

Grape what year is your truck? The alum radiator looks really good. Did you have to do much cutting for the intercooler to fit? If it is the early-mid 80's body how is the exhaust from the turbo routed?
