I have a 2007 NBS GMC 2500 crewcab SLT Z71 4X4. I have been searching for months on wheels for it. What will work and what wont. I tried to use my MotoMetal 951s 16X9 -12mm offset 285/75/16 tires off my 06 GMC 2500. Truck was leveled and wheels would not come close to working. Looked awesome but would have to cut a lot and I mean a lot of metal and plastic for them to clear. Two days ago I installed KMC XD Diesels in a 18X9 with 0 offset. Truck is leveled and I have pulled the plastic fender liner forward and trimmed some of the metal out behind it then pulled the plastic liner back. Plastic is pulled back probally about 1" from where it was. My plan was to run a 285/65/18 tire and I was going to have as much room as I could get for the tire to work when I got to the tire shop to have them installed. Installed the 285/65 and they would not clear and did not want to cut anymore metal or the plastic liner to expose a place for mud to go. I wound up going with a 275/65/18 tire and it clears with no problem. Wish it filled the fenders up a little more but it does look good. The only other tire that may have worked would have been a 275/70/18. Did not think to try one at the time. Hope this helps some of you guys out. I wanted a wheel as deep as possible with a tire as big as possible and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what would work. I will get some pictures up soon. Waiting on 4" round nerf bars now.
