what rear end is in my truck 2004.5 2500 4x4 hd diesel ? part number ? 14 bolt ? 12 bolt ? and what about the front end too ?thanks !

BigWill_21 01-12-2005, 09:40 PM as for your read end, the baddest of the bad: AMMBO:, you have the AAM 11.5" this is a full 1 inch bigger ring gear than older Corporate(GM)10.50" the 14 bolt. Many other compenents are much beefier also. The 14 bolt is only behind the 6.0L gas motor and in some 8.1L, it wont hold up to the D-max like the Big 11.5" will even with the pinion support the older model had... EDIT: the front is a AAM 9.25", it isn't a 14-bolt unless the bolts for the front carrier happen to be a coincident and have 14-bolts like the old Corporate rears did..
