Need opinions on les schwab tires. My buddy has a set and has 30000 miles on them and they still look in great shape. What do you guys think?

My opinion is that Les Schwab tires, either their brands or other brands they sell, do what they claim. I've been a les Shwab fan for years. Their tire prices are seldom the lowest price around, but they treat you right, have prompt service and honor the warranty, and don't screw up on the install. Often the Les Schwab brands, such as wildcat etc. are in house tires from companies such as cooper tire etc. with the Les Schwab branding. Looking at the sidewall code and cross referencing will tell you who makes the tire. For instance, my wildcat SST "studless" winter tires are made by cooper tire and from what I can tell identical to the cooper offering. I've run wildcat and Toyo's from them for years and IMHO they are WAY superior to Michelin Light truck tires and less expensive.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking that they were badged Les schwab but made by a different company. I was looking at the open country a/t.

I have Toyo's on my truck right now and at 25,000 miles, they still have plenty of tread and hold up just great. I tow a 28,000 lbs trailer on my truck and these Toyo's have had no problem other than a flat I had the other day which was a valve stem problem. Les Schwab fixed it all for free as usual.

They have rotated my dually all around, balanced, and fixed flats for free every time I ever went in. That has earned my business and I prefer to buy from them regardless what tires I really want or don't want just because of their top notch service.

Also, my Toyo's are rated at 2,550 lbs each when running on a dually axle which is 10,200 lbs. Well, I have overloaded the hell out of them at 10,800 lbs on that axle (I found out when I went through a weigh station hauling the load in my avatar - white steel tubes weighing 17,500 lbs + 9,500 trailer) and they held up just fine and are still going strong.
