New to this site, but everything that I have seen so far lets me believe that it rocks.

Bought a 33 ft. toy hauler and getting ready to tow it to the dunes in Arizona. Truck now has 9000 miles on it and I want to make sure that I have done everything that will help it tow better.

I need your recommendations for fluid changes and which of the modules/programmers would be best to increase the towability with my ride.

Thanks in advance

Welcome!!!!

Tell us more about your rig. Where are you from? Alot of people here use the Edge Juice and others use Banks. There is the TTS tow that works well too. The Juice can be installed with the monitor so it will be safe on your tranny and you ca watch your exhaust temps. Very helpful when pulling.

I pull a 30' 10K 5er and when I added the Juice --> WOW what a great improvement. Excellent usable power/torque. Made a great truck into a pulling machine.

Keep in mind these are my opinions.

Good luck and once again welcome. Enjoy this site.

Yes, we need to know if its an LB7 or an LLY?

It is a 2004.5, the LLY. It is stock now except for wheels and tires 265 X 16 BFG. I just had a gooseneck pop up installed because the trailer I bought already had the gooseneck adapter. I have not switched to synthetic oils, serviced the differentials or replaced fuel filter.

After seeing everything on this site, it looks like I better get these thing done and now.

Looking at other posts, seems like the predator would be very easy to use compared to others, but with that said, if I'm going to spend the money, I only want to do it once.

Again, thanks for all your help. Will return as soon as I run the jumb wires so my low beams will stay on when I have highs on (learned this from the site)

By the way, I live in Arizona so the winter temps are great but the summer is never ending. I'm sure this will make a difference in the gear, transmission and engine oils that I should use

Well your truck will pull anything that it has any buisness pulling. But if you want to make it pull it faster then a module can help and add to the fun factor unloaded.

Change your spin on trans filter if it hasnt been done since new and I would change it ever oil change or every other depending on your oil change frequency. Mike L.'s cooler would be a good addition when it comes out. You need to use syn fluid in the rear anyway. If you want to use GM's fluid or my preference(mobil 1) or another fluid is up to you. I prefer either regular dino atf at frequent change intervals(I plow so hence the frequency) or Mobil 1 ATF. If you are constanly running warm temps on the trans I would opt for syn fluid in the trans, otherwise with the drain plug on the trans pan draining a good chunk of the fluid regularly is a snap. Dont forget about the magnet on the top of the spin on trans filter. No real need to go syn engin oil unless you want to. JMO Welcome

Right now I would say the Predator is your best bet for the LLY. There is some new stuff coming out, and I think Edge will get the bugs worked out of theirs soon. If you can wait till then, things might be differant. I have had the edge, duramaximizer, hypertech, quadzilla steath, and the bully dog power pup, but currently run the Predator.

I would also recommend Transynd in the tranny and changing the gear lube with good synthetic. If it's a 4x4 change to transynd in the transfer case also.
