After picking up my six gun bundle kit today, which was only half of what I ordered, I decided to install it. The exhaust was not a problem, even though I should've cut behind the muffler from the start, it was pretty smooth sailing after that. The 6 gun wasn't difficult either, but there was one problem. The grommet in the firewall was a PITA!!!! That actually was the only major problem I encountered. I couldn't fit the wires through the grommet even after making a couple of tears in it. After clearing that out of the way, it was pop and snap. I haven't mounted the switch permanently because I don't like the recommended spot for it. I want it out of site! I temporarily zip tied the box as well, want a 'stock' appearance in there as well. I couldn't mount my gauges, since I received no pillar mount. We'll see how those go. I didn't like the fact I have to wait for the engine to reach a certain temperature, but I guess it's all for the best. I couldn't wait much longer for the truckt to warm up, so I decided to let it warm up on my 'test session'. Upon seeing the temperature gauge reach 20*, I immediately got out and popped the hood to check the box, GREEN LIGHT! I was trying to find a sucker to race me, but this gangster guy in his BMW didn't want any action. I proceeded to leave him in a cloud of smoke, said the knob over to 5. Didn't have the guts to try 6 without any 'protection':D . As I was taking off from a stop sign, I was curious to find out if it smoked even after take off, so I punched it, and sure enough, cloud of smoke. The car behind me kept a huge gap after that, probably thought I was breaking down or something!):h All in all, pretty satisfied and the power is sufficient enough, for now of course! Any other 6gunners out there want to share with me some good locations for the box and knob? Thanks again! Sorry for the novel, but I'm pretty excited!):h

I placed the module and switch where it says to. You can't see the module even if you take off the fuse panel, so that will be hidden out of site. The location of the switch, for me, is the ideal spot. I'm not worried at all about my dealership seeing the modifications. I actually had them install the egt probe and they did a very professional job of attaching the wire back on the firewall to the module. On level 5 with no speedloader should be about 77hp from what I've figured out.

Tell us more, how is the power in all levels? Is it worth the wait?

i don't have any actual way to measure power increase, but you can definitely feel a huge difference. i will see how the conditions are on saturday and possibly make it out to 1/4 mile, if it's open.

I think the trickest way to mount the banks control would be in a custom overhead mount. Trippin on this site makes a very cool custom mount for the Edge Attitude controller. If he made one for the banks controller he could machine in numbers one through six on the front of the mount with no other explanation. Heck maybe its a volume knob.):h

Come to think of it I may be in the market for one of those myself if my truck would ever get delivered.

Anyone know why Banks offers a digital guage for the FCensored d's and not for the GM's. I thought for sure they would change them up when they came out with the six gun for the LLY.

I like the over head mount myself..just ordered the attitude and that mount for it. I think its a factory appearance and if you are not in the truck you cannot see it.

let us know how that stuff performs!!

I ordered my six gun bundle on November 5th o4 and today I called and it is supposed to ship today or tommarrow or Monday...but I will beleive it when I see it. I am a little apprehensive about installing it myself, but I am going to look over the manual and check it out. I just got the truck lifted with a Pro Comp 6" suspension lift and Nitto Mud Grapller tires, 35/12.50/20's, with Weld Evo Dagger XT's, looks so sweet. But now I need more power and more MPG's. I will attach a picture as soon as I figure out how to. Please advise...

Cool...I am glad someone responded about the install, I agree with 05 2500HD, I dont want to mount my control knob on the dash to be seen. Does anyone have any suggestions as of yet?

hutkee1 I changed gears for better mpg. I get about 18 mpg. The banks system should make it about 20mpg. If I can keep my foot out of it.):h

Does anyone have the boost gauge installed on a banks system? I know it's plug and play, but my gauge doesn't want to read any boost? Anyone out there care to give me a hand on this? Thanks!

ghost69 98... Thanks for the tip on the improved MPG's, I will definitly check that out once all add ons are installed. If you don't mind me asking, how much does it run to change the gears out, just so I know if i'm getting ripped or not.
