Does anyone know if there are any after market cup holders for the 04 GMC 2500HD? I have the bucket seats with the fold down console (not really sure what the seat is called) and the cup holders are down on the hump in front of the seat. They're too hard to reach for me and I usually spill something whenever using them. I had a '95 Chev previously and really liked the holder it had - like up where I can get at it. I had one of those McDonald's medium drinks with the snap on cover in it last week and when I reached down and grabbed it to take a slug, I had to squeeze some to get ahold of it. The cover popped off and the whole drink ended up on my leg and the floor. Love the truck - think the cup holders suck. The non-convex mirrors on the passenger side was a surprise too.

I like the cupholders, eventually you get used to them down there. I am thinking you have bench seating up front like I do. If you go to wally world, you can buy windowsill cupholders for like 2$ for 4 of them.

I like them for road trips, gives me a place to put my gatoraid bottle I use as a spitter instead of holding it with my thigh against the folded down center seat back. The holders from walmart will also hold all the way up to, and including, the super duper big gulp from 7-11.

Just don't keep the same size oversized drink in it all the time because the plastic will get "memory" and not tightly hold other stuff. Toss the other 3 in the back so if one wears out you have your spares.

In regards to cupholders, the best I've found so far were the set in my old '02 Dodge auto. They were huge, adjustable, and tall enough to hold things securely.

These in the Chev aren't bad, but I fear a spill is on the horizon. The cheapies from wal mart don't work for much that I've found. They tip really easy with a full cup so liquid, so I end up hanging on to the cup the whole time I'm driving anyway.

Not sure but would the fold-down style from the 99-00 trucks work? Take a look at a Silverado with bench seat (no center console).
I have one and I like it.

I put one of the ones Lennart has into my 01. Not sure about the dashes in the 04 are the same. I can take a pic if you like.

The fold down from the 99-00 will not fit the 04, they changed the dash.. I put one in my 02, liked it a lot better than the ones on the front of the seat.
