My truck is an 04 and the mirrors are off an 05. Had the reflash done to get them to extend. My question is - My passenger side mirror travels till the cycle ( extend or retract ) is complete with just a tap of the switch, while the drivers side only responds if I hold the switch down, so basically if I start off with both mirrors in the same position, they both work fine as long as I hold the switch down. If I tap and release the switch, pass. side keeps going till the end of cycle. Now, if I go to equal out the driver side the passenger side motor will continue to run untill the driver side is caught up. ( dont want to strip the clutches ) Is this normal, or has anyone just tried tapping thier switch with the same results? I dont mind holding down the switch if I have to. Is there a way to get both mirrors to respond the same way? like manually extending one and then power extending the other till thier both in sync? I like being able to position the driver side anywhere I want but would like the passenger side to do the same thing. Also could there have been a problem with the reflash? ( dont think so ) Sorry for the long post, any info or suggestions are appreciated.

that aint right. mine came from factory you have to hold switch and they both travel equal.

I think you need to program the left and right door module and the bcm if you have steering wheel controls.Sounds like the right side is working like it is a power folding mirror rather then an extending.

Thanks Heathen that makes sense, but would be weird since I originally DID NOT have power folds either. I'll have to return to the dealer, maybe the tech did not enter the correct info during the reflash? Still open to any other ideas.

Heathen is correct. It sounds like the dealer did not reprogram "both" (Left and Right) door modules with the "DPF" code.

Yep, they screwed up and programmed one side with the wrong mirror info.
