Has anyone else used this product. I just bought it and used it on my 07. The paint feels as smooth as a baby's butt. this stuff is worth the 20 bucks it costs.

Works great. Just make sure you put a good wax on when ya finished because your paint is not exposed.

Absolutely love the stuff! Meguiars makes a straight wax that is the best to put on after the clay bar. I think it's called "yellow wax" It's just a straight wax, no cleaner, grit, etc. I do the clay bar, put two coats of that on there and it stays looking KILLER for a long time. Then just stay on top of the regular waxing and it will be nice for a while. Good luck.

how hard is the clay bar to apply and remove. Like wax?

You don't apply and remove the clay bar. You take the lubricant (soapy water) and work the clay bar in circles until you feel it glide along the surface. It removes tar, bugs, paint overspray, and other contaminants. It is kinda like wetsanding. Very nice product.:D

It is wetsanding. Clay is super fine sand.

I just use the quick detailer spray as the lubricant. Spray one area and rub the bar back and forth about a little slower than you would sand paper until it smooths out. You'll be able to feel it smooth out as it picks up all the contaminents. Work in small area's about 18" square. Then once that's smooth, move on to the next area. It works reall really well, however, very time consuming. MAKE SURE TO PUT AT LEAST ONE GOOD COAT OF WAX ON after you're done, or you basically just wasted all that time!

Does this claybar help with orange peel?

Nope, unfortunately, that's the crappy paint robots at GM! ONly thing that helps that is better paint! The bar works good, but not that good.

Does this claybar help with orange peel?

Wet sanding and polishing will help with orange peel. It has nothing to do with the qualtiy of paint used... No, clay will not get rid of ornage peel. just the surface contaminents...

I have water spots and stuff that can only be seen with flourecent lights but it bugs the heck of me. Will the clay remove those stuborn spots? or should I buff it with a Ebony or Fines-it with a sponge pad. I have all the above materials but just hoping something can remove the spots without the buffing mess.

A clay bar should take care of those water spots. I just wish I could find a place/company that sells the clay bar by itself. I don't need to keep wasting money on the quick detailer.

Check the pics in my garage for a post-clay bar and wax job. It is the shit for removing tree sap and dead bugs.

Make sure you knead it after every 2' x 2' area you do and if you accidentally drop it...toss it. Do not even attempt to use it after its been on the ground.

I checked out Mequiars and Mothers tonight, Mequiars is about $1.00 more expensive but comes with 20 oz. more clay bar, the rest is even. Does any one know if one brand is better than the other?
