Does anyone on here have any custom tunes for the Predator? I'm looking for something a little more specific for my truck. Could I make a tune in EFI Live or HPTuners and import it into the Predator? I know people who have both of these tuners and wouldn't mind buying a license for either of them if I could put the tune in my Predator. Is there any other way to get a custom tune that I could remove when I needed without the original computer program that put it in?

EFILive software will only work with EFILive (FlashScan) hardware, and our hardware will only work with our software. I'd suggest that most tuning programmers would be the same, although that said I'm not aware of any offering software available to the public.
I'm also not aware of any handheld offering multiple vehicle options without returning the first tuned vehicle to stock (multiple licenses) per hardware device other than EFILive or HPT.
You'd need to ask Predator if they allow custom tuning and what software package you'd need to go with it if they did.

Thanks for the reply, Cindy. I'm looking for a more custom tune but can't afford the price of a full on EFILive setup. I would have no problem buying a license and having someone else tune my truck but I have a warranty and need to have a stock tune available if I need to go to the dealer. I suppose I could get a spare ECM but I think the cost would not be worth it either. I know I've heard of custom tunes for the predator on a ford lightning so I know it can be done I just don't know of who does it.

No worries. FWIW, your LLY can be programmed with FlashScan V1, which retails for $549. For that you get 2 licenses with purchase, and it can hold a MAX of 25 licenses. Black box logging has approx 25 mins of onboard data storage.
There are a couple of differences to FlashScan V2 - you need a laptop or PC hooked up to read and flash, there is no pretty screen, and you can't tune CAN based vehicles (ie LBZ won't work), but for $549 it's a cheap entry option.
