would a bad plug on the optical sensor cause this code to come up?...SES light comes on 4 to 10 times a day off then on...only code that comes up is 35(even after clearing them)....had the upper intake off and found the optical sensor harness is wire tided to the sensor...someone must have broken it?...when it's 20 degrees or colder out it doesn't throw the code....but if it's above 20 it's off and on all the time...then the CC doesn't work..

I have the same issue too...
Where's this elusive optical harness located BTW?

I had a code 35 issue with no cruise. It was a bad PMD. Also the truck never stalled like most PMD problems. It might be a start. Good luck. Leo

I have the exact same symptoms. I already tried changing the entire filter harness, it didn't do anything at all, by the way those little tangs that hold the harness plugs on break very easily, I broke mine. I have also changed fuel pickup due to a hole in the main feed line, that fixed my stumbling but still have the Code 35. I am starting to think it might be the beginning of a PMD going bad.

Yes I have. Use the search function. I have already told my story once. No need to repeat it.

My former optical sensor filter harness used to fail once it got warm... hope that's a little comforting to ya ;)

i found all the threads on dtc35.....just spent 3 hours pullin' the intake and removed pmd and tightened the nuts ....cleaned all the ground and connectors going to pmd and optical sensor and fuel solenoid.... took it for a test drive and made it 2 miles an DTC 35 showed up........so now i'm going to look for bubbles in fuel line
