OK, so I did some search on this and I got close to what I was looking for but not exactly. Anyway, truck has 35,450 miles on it. Going home from work this MOnday afetrnoon, Check Engine Light comes on and while I did not noticed that right away, I felt that something was wrong with my truck. It felt like it was stuck in gear and not shifting the way it was that morning. Actually, it felt that it was on TOW HAUL mode. Letting off the accelator and it was still in the "lower" gear and letting the rpm's fall.
Since I had to go to Auto Zone to pick uo some things that I needed for my Impala SS, the guys there used their code reader to see what is the code. P0700 which is generic. Now what?
Did not drive the truck till 2 nights ago when I dropped it off at the local GM dealer to fix the issue. They told me that they found 9-10 codes in there and none of them are related to the TCM (r0700 codes usually are). They said that there were EGR codes. (as you can see from my signature EGR is blocked and stuck), no way I get codes from EGR. Then they said that the exhaust system that I have causes all that.

Besides I aint going there again, do you guys have any suggestions or gimme some pointers? Have anyone of you guys ever experience this with a dmax?

PS The night before truck was plugged in (block heater) even though temps were mid 30's. Forgot to turn of the timer.

Yes i believe thats what happened to mine about 2 weeks ago. Felt like it was allways 1 gear lower than it should be, wouldn't shift till about 2200 rpms and shifts were a little rougher than normal. I think there was a tsb but i can't find a number on my bill. The fix was to reflash both the tcm and ecm. Haven't had any problems since. Hope this helps.

yeap, that is what they did. The service guy said that they updated both the ECM and TCM with some available updates. So far no issues here; however, it is just crazy how sensitive these machines really are.

PS Does anyone know the GM pat number for the TCM plastic cover and the screws that holding it on the TCM?

Thanks for the replies. Keeping it coming...!
