i really wouldnt think a Wide 02 would do anything for a diesel. i mean diesels blow a whole lotta fuel(black smoke) out the exhaust when they are cranked up. a wide 02 is really only good for gassers. i used one on my camaro for tuning my nitrous but i have never even considered even trying it on my truck. plus theres the possibility of it plugging up. on a diesel you can tell when u have to much fuel cause you have the black smoke.... someone chime in if im wrong

You can use your eyes as an O2 sensor on a diesel. The point where you start to make smoke is when you have more fuel than O2 to go with it. Diesels run variable mixture, gassers run constant mixture. Diesel is leanest at idle, you simply add fuel for increased power. It pumps as much air as it can, so at low load there is alot of unburned O2 going out the tailpipe. As you increase fuel, there is less and less unburned O2. When you start to see smoke, you have passed the point where there isn't enough O2 to mix with all the fuel. At that point, you need more boost and or nitrous to make more power.

O2 sensors produced right now are designed for use in gasoline power vehicles & will not function properly in a diesel exhaust enviroment, for reasons too numerous & complex to list here.
