I have been having problems with the clutch (6 spd) on our 04 Topkick 5500 (8.1 L). It seems to engage/disengage with almost no friction point. Either on or off, there is no feathering the clutch. It also makes (in 1st and 2nd) a horrible noise as the clutch is released (sounds like a turkey in the bellhousing). The dealer is trying to tell me this is normal, although none of our other trucks do the same, or any trucks on their lot either. Any thoughts?

Take the truck to a different dealer.
