is it hard to change a shift solenoid on a 5 speed im assuming mines sticking shift solenoid C electrical is the code im getting

IIRC they are in the valve body and it I''m right you won't have to pull the trans. If you are somewhat mechanicaly inclined you can do it in your driveway.

Solenoids C,D, and E are the same. I believe the C solenoid is the one on the top half of the valve body, AKA "Shift Valve Body" and contains all the shift valves. The C solenoid is the only solenoid on that half of the valve body, so it should be easy to spot. Getting it out will require you to pull the valve body. The clip is on the top side, so you don't have to pull the valve body apart to get the solenoid out, IIRC. I might be wrong on that, so be prepared to pull it apart.

THANX BOBO big help for me my truck keeps screwing up so im gonna change all solenoids it saying solenoid c electrical on my scanner so im gonna get rid of that crap i hope thanx again
