Washed my truck tonight and noticed that the clear coat has almost totally delaminated from the rim (stock aluminum)Is this a waranty claim????Truck is 05 with 30000 miles

3 years or 36,000 miles

Went to the stealer today.....Told me it was due to driving in snow and salt??????Does GM only build their product to be driven in Arizona!!!!!If so why do they install a block heater!!!!!!Service guy took pictures (with cell phone) and said he would call his rep!!!

Dealers do replace those wheels. I have the woman in my Cub Scout Pack that actually designed the wheel who works at Alcoa. She told me that the wheels have a five year unlimited mileage warranty from Alcoa to GM. But you'll have to call Alcoa direct if the dealer gives you any hassles about it.

My dealer wouldn't go anything for me so your saying Alcoa may be able to help? I'm past my 3yr/36K warranty but your saying Alcoa's warranty will cover me? My wheels look horrible :mad:
