I need a pod for my 03 dually I just got and would like a really nice one. The one I got for my 01 works but is cheap :( and doesn't fit good. Anyone have pic's of what they have and how well they fit?
Thanks

From my experience, the pods that snap over the factory pillar usually dont fit as well, especially the ones that hold the edge monitors. I have the type that replace the factory pillar trim and snap in at the top and bottom and overall it fits really well.

Have you got a model or brand name of these? I'm possibly interested in finding a single for my truck.

Are these snap on piller mounts color matched, and will they fit with the bose system, and one or two gauges???

I have pics of the autometer 2 guage pod in my garage. I only used 2 of the pins to hold them, they are dyed to match. I tried 3m double sided tape, it worked well until summer time.

Im not sayin they all suck by any means, its just most of the overlay ones i have seen have had fitment issues and dont tend to stay in place over long periods of time.

Where Can I find a complete replacement at? I would rather have an entire piece instead of an overlay as well. Where did you find yours at?

Check my garage for Autometer Sport Comp IIs on the a-pillar (Autometer mount). No problems with fitment either. LED lighting and the guages match my factory guages pretty close. Lighting is mod'd so it's not so bright at night (no dimmer req'd).

Someone asked about the Bose...you have to order the overlay mount with or without the hole for the tweeter speaker.

why not use edge insight? Small and will give you a lot more info for not much more than 3 gauges

LOL
I think you need to have at least four gauges in non dually and 3 gauges on dually to be considered manly.

Supercop8100, I like the Autometer UltraLiteII setup you have. It looks great, dial gauges are manly. Where did you find the 2 pod pillar and gauges? pm me if you can't post here.

Thanks.

I have the quadzilla commander, works good, monitors more things than I need to know about, looks clean. BD power is supposed to be coming out with an all in one LCD gauge system like the commander/insight but they have been slow in getting it out. It is in their catalog but they don't have it yet. Supposedly it is going to be sharp looking.

I have the Autometer Dual pod over the mirror set-up with Autometer Boost & Pyro gauges. Always easy to see while driving being just above the mirror.

Hey, noticed on your sig that you had a cat delete pipe. did you buy this somewhere or make your own? I am wanting to remove mine, but am wondering how difficult it is. Thanks for your help....

The Trippin overhead console gauge pod is hands down the finest one available.

I got the anodized black unit, with Autometer cobalts and two switches. I've gotten a million compliments on that thing haha. I give so.cal diesel the credit though.

I like it because its easily visible, yet it doesnt hang out there and bother me by being in the way. I hate huge A pillars and those pods usually give you a mega blind spot right there.

Did you install this pod yourself? How is the fit? I'm about to install mine, but thought the velcro/tape combination for holding it in place is a little cheap.

Ive got the Autometer tripple pod and Trippins overhead. For Boost & Pyro I would use the Pod as I find it hard to glance up at Trippins for some reason :o: Quick 6 I like the look of your above mirror setup and have seen one in person but never really liked how it was held up. If they could get something better I would get one of those as well :p: More pics in my garage :)

larry i have the 4 gauge pod up top and it fits nice, but the tape/velcro is kinda useless unless you leave a gauge or 2 out and use a long handle to push it together. just pushing the pod doesn't always attach the velcro. and then i adjusted the mirror to hold the front up tight to the headliner.

I have the 2 guage setup, thought I'd run pre and post boost gauges since I have a spare :D

Very easy install, and the velco has been holding the pod & two gauges very well, I've seen 100+ degrees to -20degrees and towing our 5th wheel trailer with 75psi in the tires produces a rough & bouncy ride, all without any problems.

I have adjusted my mirror upwards to give a little support on the bottom of the gauges and pod as an extra measure.

My friend has the gauges mounted in the overhead consol but I found them to be a little hard to just see while driving without turning your head upwards to see them, with the Autometer above mirror pods, I only need to move my eyes without turning my head away from the road. Plus I like that i can still use my overhead for storage uses like my glasses or wallet.

I also really like that the Autometer pod has the gauges angled perfectly towards the driver. (see pics. attached)

I'm very happy with this set-up and would not hesitate to do the same set-up again with another truck.
