So on my way home today my rear driveshaft fell out. I got on brakes pretty had and there it went. I'm think the rear axle twisted a little and pulled it out? Anyway, I'm wondering what I need to get it going? It's my only vehicle so I need to get it going ASAP. It looks like the end is in pretty good shape, I was probably only going like 10 or so when it came out.
I can get pics if anyone need them.
Thanks.
Btw, the rear is lifted with 2" springs and 5" blocks.

Alluminum? I have a spare if you need one and it won't fit my truck. Would need a joint though.

7" of lift and your using the stock rear driveshaft? could put it back into place (make sure to clean the splines VERY well) and use it temporarily but you need to get your driveshaft lengthened.
as a temporary patch get a piece of chain or a tie down strap and hang it on the underside beneath the driveshaft, far enough away from the shaft so its not in contact but not so low that its draggin on the ground. it should work to catch the shaft when it falls out again (keep in mind its obviously temporary).

If you need a longer shaft, you may have to go with a two piece unit. A steel one piece of that length may be too heavy. Good luck getting an aluminum one built! Tom Woods custom shaft? Slip yoke eliminator?

Glad to hear that happened when you're stopped, this could have gotten pretty messy, if you're on the throttle going down the road.
