I am thinking of turning the exhaust out in front of the back wheel. Any comments from anyone who tows heavy. I am only worried about heating up the rear tire, I do not really care too much about the soot getting on it. Thanks ahead of time.

I just saw a late 90's chevy gasser with exhaust pipes coming out of the side of the rocker panel in front of the rear tire. They came out at about a 30-45 degree angle and then the pipes where miterred. They only stuck out about an inch. Reminded me the exhaust pipes that come out above the water line on boats. It actually looked pretty cool and professional. I don't know where or how he ran the pipes. Just a thought.

Thanks Wes..:D

No problems with it, although I don't tow, but I doubt that heat would bother the wheel/tire. My only problem is, trying to keep the soot off the rear quarter panel..:o::)

Dumped mine to the side. Pointed down a bit do it keeps away from the tire and no soot on the paint.

Made it by getting a exhaust from a donor 06 CCSB, and I had to modify it to fit the ECLB, and weld on a flange in the front.

Illegal in some states... check your local laws or you may find yourself in a hole when emissions/safety inspections time comes, if your state has them.

Agreed. I wouldn't cut the stock exhaust. I still ahve the stock system sitting in the side of the house.

thanks guys. I already have a MBRP 4 inch. Just thinking of changing it a bit. Only problem I have is traction bar in the area could hit in a compressed suspension situation. I have an 8 inch diam. miter cut tip and I would be doing it like Hammer's truck.
