How does the center console come apart? I know the cup holder portion just pulls straight up. How do the two cubbies and the power outlets pop out?
Thanks,
ac

Beyond removing the cubby and the cup holder, how do you get the piece behind the cubbies out. I need to cut mine down as I want to put my police radio in the upper cubby. I will cut the back of the cubby out, but I need to cut out the plastic behind it. The lower cubby has all my switches mounted there.

Damn, if only we had all these helpful articles for the NBS, I'd be jam up and jelly tight!

Copter, Are you planning on removing the console and glassing the box into the console then reinstalling together, or are you removing the console to make it easier to work on, then using it as a mold like the gentleman in the other thread you sent me and removing it once you have the first layer to lay down the remaining layers? Sorry for all the questions, but it's almost like I'm right there at a solution to get all the conditions I wanted! Thanks for the great idea. Now I just need to tear it apart and see how much room GM's wonderful engineers left us in the NBS.

I'm going to remove the console and make a mold of the bottom side which will be removeable. I want to keep everything appearing stock then glass the sub in and re-install the console. I want it to be like the JL but don't want to lose the RSE controls or the rear vents. There's pleanty of room in there for at least one 10" if not two.

That's what I'm thinking. I only need one 10" in there with enough power to it. Are you planning on porting it out the side or just sealing it up? My truck just got to the dealer, so I'll have to look in the NBS console and see how it is with room. I think you've got the perfect idea, I just need to adapt it to the NBS. Thanks for all the info. I'm still workin on those Mickey tix for ya! ;)

No ports.. just seal it up and bring on the wattage.
