I went out looking for trucks yesterday and almost came home with a loaded black 2500HD CC. I just have to wait for a $8000 check comes in from the army before I commit to buying it, the check should be here in two weeks but I have been trying to get it since September. I almost agreed to it but I dont want to get stuck with the big payment and the check not come again. I hope the truck is still there when I get the check If not I will just order one exactly the same way

Never buy in a rush. Little cooling off from the initial urge to buy never hurts and you may be able to strike a little better deal. Make a few phone calls. When I was in the military I found that the dealers adjacent to the bases were pretty trecherous. Anyway, you have some time to do more price hunting.

TAKE YOUR TIME... I can not emphasize that enough. Get online, do a search for dealers, get the incentives for each dealer and manufacturer.. do the work and you will come home with a hell of a truck at a great deal!! As said above..never buy in a rush..you won't get what you want.

I have been researching online and going to dealers. I probably could do a little better if I search around but my wife really wants this truck and it will be her daily driver. I can get a dodge or a ford for a better price but I can use my GM Card earnings, military discount, loyalty rebate, and regular rebate on this truck

I have to agree .....DO NOT BUY IN A RUSH. I did some research found a dealer told him what I wanted(what i expected to get financed for; not everything I really wanted) Bought the truck in a hurry, although I AM NOT unhappy with buying a Duramax, I wish I would have been a lil more patient and got every option that I don't have now, (only 2:cool: )and at possibly a better price.

This truck has almost every option and would be about 8500 off MRSP of 49250

There are tons of used trucks out there that you can get for a hell of a lot cheaper than that.
Do you need a 42000 dollar truck? Think of tax (7.5% or ~$3200) and first year registration ($500+) and first year ins.

have your wife wait a little bit while you do some research..use the extra money you save and take her on a vacation! :)

InfantryWS6, PLEASE CHECK to see if dealer will honor a G.M. SUPPLIER DISCOUNT AUTHORIZATION#. I can get you 1 in a matter of mins, in most cases. I don't want to WASTE A # by someone that asks for a # & they don't use it. If you don't qualify for any G.M. discounts - military don't count BUT ask & IF YOU want a # e-mail me or call me. I P.M. you, my #.

Here's my take.............If you both like it, buy it!!!!! See if he will hold it for you. Might have to put a little down. To many people in life wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait. Review where their at now..........get my point. Most are in the ground, still waiting...................Rick P.S. your not rushing it, you went and looked at it!!!! good luck
