I don't know if anybody ever noticed this but I have seen H2 Wheels with the Valve stem off to one side between the spokes and other H2 wheels that have the Valve stem in the middle between the spokes. All the wheels look the same except for the valve stem placement. Does anybody know the reason why the valve stem placement is like this? :help: Is it different depending on the model year or what. This is really bugging me and I would sure like to know the reason. I have been looking for a set of H2 wheels and have seen 4 wheels, two with offset valve stems and 2 with centered valve stems. What gives here?

Hmm...... don't know. I'll check mine and see how they are. The valve stem hole location during machining of the wheel may be determined by balance of the wheel?

Is it maybe real GM wheels versus imitation/aftermarket look-alikes? (Completely random guess there..)

Yeah, Kind of. My B'day is in April and I do like a lot of their songs. I just hope I'm not infringing on any trademarks.

:muahaha:OK Gang, I think I figured this out. Pre 2005(2004 and older)H2 OEM Wheels have the Air Valve in the centre between the spokes and 2005 and later have the Air Valve off to one side between the spokes. So I guess if you ever want to know the approximate year of your wheels just check where the Air Valve is on the wheel. I guess the next question would be:"Why did they make the change". :beerchug:
