There a few unanswered questions in this thread that i could answer after doing this mod myself.

The position sensor on the drivers seat will still restrict the seat from reclining all the way. Although it can be "tricked" by reclining the seat right before it stops and simply tapping the recline button until it goes down all the way.

As for trimming the plastic. i didnt have to do any. with the seat reclined all the way there is some pressure put on the plastic but it does not break the pressure clips free.

I did some trimming, but you have to trim a lot to get it not to bind at all.

Do you have any pictures of what you actually modded? The pictures in the link in your first post dont work. And i have manual seats, has anyone figured this out ? Thanks.

I never cut anything on my LLY and it was fine. When you get to the back max... just blip it forward for a sec then it will go back a bit farther, then forward and back a bit farther.... prob 10 times and youll finally be flat.
