How much air are you running in 245-16-E tires? Truck is 99 Sub 2500 4x4. Tires are "Nexen" M&S. Maximum rated for 80 PSI... I am running 60 front and 60 rear. Thanks

If it rides comfy and the tires aren't wearing funny, you're probably fine when you're not loaded down.

Ok let me take this a step further. You mentioned not loaded down. How about how much more air do you add when you are loaded down? What is it that we should base it off of? Total trailer weight? Tounge weight? I myself I run 60 up front, 60 out back also, but air the rears up to 70 towing the racecar. But that's also when the bed of the truck is loaded down with tools, parts etc. I have an open car trailer and with the car and all the added "stuff" is about 5500 lb's extra. I differ though cause I run "load leveling" torsion bars on my hitch, back of the truck raises up about 2-3 inches when I put them on.

gonna move this to tires & wheels as it is generic not just pertinent to 6.5, when I'm moving big load I press up my E range tires to 80 max load press rating by mfr sidewall rating, rest of time I run about 50-60 psi, don't forget about them stems also http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=191740

I generally run 65 psi all around for best tire wear/ fuel milage. Seems the 3/4 ton truck likes to turn down the outer edge of the front tires unless they are at 65 psi. Towing the race trailer, I'll add 5-8 psi in the rear. Important to use the load leveling hitch with 10,000lb load though.
