I've got an 01 with a small, but albeit annoying problem since I live in Alaska. I know diesels take a long while to warm up, but my blower/fan motor on 5 is barely pushing any air. My first question is there anywhere like under the cowl that may need cleaned out? Or, is there a part that controls the power given to the blower motor that fails? The motor is still working, but at a highly reduced rate. Thanks for any help in advance, great site!!!!

I bet your in-cab air filters are clogged up.
Pass side under dash, pull the black plastic cover from the air box. Pull one 5.5mm screw from just left of the blower motor, take cover off, pull filters (2). Replace with part#CF104

I'll check that out tonight, wife's got the truck while I'm detailing hers today. I bought this truck used last summer and didn't get an owner's manual with it. Was unaware that there were cabin filters in it. As always you'all are very helpful.
Thanks Again!!

Here's some pictures to help you. Don't pay attension to the duct tape, but that's twhere the cove will be and don't worry about the screw on the tranny hump, just remove the one or two accessable one by the blower and push the cover down. Plenty of room to work:
