It seems that this time of year that we see more folks here that have the lines that attach to the tranny cooler leak. I am in the process of getting them replaced. One was on national back order but should arrive the beginning of next week.

Would it be possible to thread where the lines go and then put on threaded lines to alleviate this problem?

My Mechanic before 05 changed the fittings on cooler and installed flex (rubber) lines to the tubes no more problem with lines blowing off or leaking.
Since 2005 GM changed the fittings now you cant git fittings with the correct thread. What was wrong with the old fashion flair fittings that threaded in and never leaked or blew out.
