Galena, huh? My roommate is going up there this weekend for a ski trip. He'll be driving my red CCSB LMM. It's got a big ol dent in the side of it (passenger). If you see it, give him a hard time! Anyways, I've got one of these:

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21412-cat600032&id=0005438613822a&navCount=2&podId=0005438&parentId=cat600032&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat600032&hasJS=true

It works well. My dog sheds ALOT, no good on a black interior. Leather makes it a little easier, but it still sucks. I used to use a comforter from a bed, but it never stayed in place. This one works. My grandpas restless hunting dog can't even get it off of there!

Hope this helps!

Tom.

2 kids and a dog in the ext cab?? Got your hands full there! Good luck. It may be easier for you to just toss a twin sized comforter in there, over the seat, and pull it when the pooch isn't in there. Worked for me for a long time, much easier in and out than the Cabelas one. Take care.

I've seen some people use a rear seat cover that goes on with the seats folded down from an Avalanche so fluffy can shed away in the back.

edit: sorry, couldn't find any pics, but I did find this:

I've got pics of the Avalanche cover in my garage. Too bad maxxcamper has an EC instead of a CC....

I use a Solvit cover. It has straps that go around the headrests. Then you push these tubes between the back and bottom. Then two quick elastics around the bottom of the seat. It is water proof. It is machine washable. It is $40 shipped on ebay.

They used to come in other colors.

Get a couple of cotton blankets like are used in hospitals. One will cover the back of the seats and one, doubled up, will cover the seat. Easy in and out and no sweat to toss in the washer.

pet smart sells a hammock type dog blanket, it connects to the head rests with quick disconnects. works great, I have a shepard and lab , after the trip just disconnect the blanket and 90% of nthe hair comes with it. This blanket is safer for the dogs also, they will not slide off the seat when stopping to quick. charlieb
