I installed the Edge(Just edge, not w/attitude) about 3 weeks ago. I have it set at level 2 in daily driving mode and off in Tow/Haul.

Last Wednesday I was pulling right out of a parking lot and the truck sputtered as I accelerated to the point it almost died..I feathered the pedal and got it to recover. Thursday night as I was backing up my driveway and put the truck in park and it blipped the throttle 2 times like the setting you get with the edge level setting confirmation. I put the truck back in drive and then went back to park and it did it again. Friday morning I got up and truck fired and all appeared to be well. I had an emergency and had to drive to Yosemite. I got there and did what I needed to do and got up this morning and started the truck to come home. The truck fired fine, ran about 5 minutes and died. I tried restarting and it would not. It was raining like mad, I disconnected Edge box and removed and truck fired right up and drove home fine.

Anybody have any ideas? Anybody suffer with similar symptoms?

I am concerned now about running the product. I have never had any problems like this with the truck since I took delivery so I have to believe it is Edge related, especially since the truck ran after removing it.

Thanks in advance

Sorry I can't lend any insight on your issue - unless its the wiper motor deal again causing issues with the edge :( (you can do a search on that and find all the info you need). This is precisely the reason I am going to buy a VA box of some type. They offer all of the protection (as far as I know) that edge does but seems to be more reliable. My understanding is that they also run cooler  relative to the edge juice at a similar setting. Good Luck

Check and see what version you have. It is on the white tag on the box. Edge will update it for free. I think 4.81 is the newest. On my LB7 trucks we never had a problem.

Sounds like you may have had the wiper interference issue. Some trucks make enough noise on the electrical ckts to mess with the Juice...

Thanks for feedback. However in all 3 instances my wipers were not on. Although raining this morning, I just fired it up and went back in garage. I usually shut off everything while warming up.

Anymore thoughts. I just bought the Edge 1.5 months ago. Version is 4.81.

One other thing, Can XM radio cause enough interference?

Did you get to the bottom of the problem?

Sounds like a bad module. Call Edge and they will most likely send you another. I too have the 4.81 with no attitude. Truck has every bell and whistle including the entertainment system XM Radio, Onstar, Built in Phone, kitchen sink. No problems in the past two months since I installed it.

I had problem of no start with mine after i washed the engine compartment. But it was the next day and I already started it a couple of time's. Pulled the edge off it started right up no problem. Let the edge dry out for a couple of day's and put it back and it's been fine since.
I think water get's to some of the wire's somehow and causes a electrical short and results in a no-start.
Try drying it out well and try again.

i have also expireancd the same thing in my truck but it only would happen in tow mode. as i would come to a hard stop the engine just dies, so i would have to re-start. this has never happend untill i installed the juice. so i took it out to see what would happen and the truck still does it every now and then. took it in the dealership and they couldnt find any thing wrong. i did contact edge and they didnt think it was their product but they exchanged the juice with no problems. so far so good.

I have an LLY, but.... Mine has done this a couple of times, it has never died or not wanted to start but sometimes on moderate acceleration it spits and sputters. The first time it was really bad. When it happens I unplug the juice and find moisture on the plugs like condensation or whatever, dry it off, and plug her right back in, works like a charm. Don't know if it's actually the moisture(which I believe it is) or the disconnecting and reconnecting of the edge.
