Next year I may be living in an apartment complex that I probably wont be able to plug in my truck in cold weather. My question is, do you think im going to ever have trouble starting it? I live in Columbus, OH so it doesnt get that horribly cold, but it is known to go down pretty close to zero on occasion and although really rare it could go below zero.
What is the coldest some of you guys have successfully started your truck? or an even better question has anyone ever not been able to start it due to cold weather?
Also, what temperature should i worry about fuel gelling?

I'm 200 miles north of you. I too am not always able to plug mine in. Recently we had 0* and I didn't have a problem. I soon switched to 5W40 so I could see oil pressure a bit sooner. The winter grill cover definitely helps during warm up and regular driving.

I haven't plugged mine in yet and several times it's been 10 below... No problems starting. The wait to start light is still not on for very long even. With fuel gelling, the station where you buy fuel should be mixing a bit when they see it's gonna get cold so you shouldn't have to worry.

I'm about 120 miles NE of columbus. I haven't had any problems with mine starting and it sits outside all of the time.

I sure wouldn't worry about it if I were you. While I certainly don't prefer cold weather starts, the D-Max does very well in cold weather. I'd use a synthetic when it gets this cold, but I've started my LLY at -12°F without plugging in. It didn't even stutter! Other locals have told me that a D-Max will start at -20°F with no problems at all. Use a good additive and the right oil, and you'll be just fine.

I don't plug mine in until it hits -20*C. I think that's about -5*F. The coldest I have started it is -34*C without a plug in. It makes a lot of racket for 20 minutes or so.

one day I forgot to plug in and it was outsite -39C/-38F and it started fine with key...it did not want to start with command start since it has to crank more than 5 sec and command start shuts down the crank after 5sec...so I know I should be able to fire it next time I need it my take some time....
