I have a quick question as I am receiving tire rubbing on my driver side with the 285 REVOs. Several months ago I had hid a bump on a dirt road, pretty hard, on the driver side of my truck. Didn't knock out the alignment and the truck drove fine.
Several months later, began getting a ping noise on the driver side when hitting slight bumps in the road and in turns mostly. It is now getting worse.
I changed to the 285 REVOs:ro) after getting 55K miles out of the original 245 Bridgestone stock tires. Every now and then I get a rub out the driver side. It appears that at certain times, the tire on the driver side will be off center.
I noticed, while greasing my zerks, that the lower ball joint, on the driver side, was spitting grease out of the center of the rubber, indicating a tear in the rubber. That may as well be my pinging noise.
My question is: Does anyone know if that could cause my tire to shift from time to time causing the rubbing? Or should I just replace the whole lower control arm?
