My name is brent and i own a 2001 lb7 duramax and I would like to know how much horsepower you can get out of your stock connecter rods before they bend

You should be ok with no more than 575 over an extended period.

not contradicting the last post but Idahorob runs 650 hp on stock internals w/twin turbo kit on an lbz. I dont know if lb7s internals are different. I would imagine that the valvetrain is upgraded to get the higher rpms of the lbz.

I could be wrong but I cant think of anyone that bent rods with a stock charger , lift pump and a good tune.The bending and breaking rods start after one adds alot more air and or drugs.You wouldnt be from Nc would ya ?.NLDP

LBZ rod will hold more power than the LB7/LLY rods will. A good number to stay below for the LB7/LLY rod is 550 RwHp but event at that level you can hurt the rods if the tuning is too far off.

I would say 500HP. basically stock SINGLE cp3, no drugs, stock turbo, etc.
