Gents,

installed Dmaxallitechs kit several months ago, no problems worked first time like a champ. took the splice connector apart the other night to install my brakesmart controller and enlarge the hole through the firewall. ran evrything and reinstalled, three times now with no luck. crimp on the connector does not move, wires are tight, etc. turn on cruise and no high idle ? I am stumped. only thing new since then is the brakesmart controller with the 03 harness and it works fine. Any help would be appreciated.

With the engine running in park and before pressing the brake pedal, check to see if you have +12 Volts on the wire feeding the C1-71 pin on the ECM connector.

Also make sure that the brakesmart isn't putting a any voltage to the brake wire.

nothing on the high dle wire. brakesmart is in power save mode (no display, start the truck, no brakes, and the fuse is not installed. I noticed that the high idle wire is snug so maybe i pulled it out ? not sure this was possible, thought that it was in there with retaining clips but cannot remember. Gonna rip it apart and check it I guess. Censored

brakesmart would put out any voltage without the fuse applied

any other fuses involved

took the whole thing down to the ECM connectors apart to cehck everything out and coudl not find anything wrong. I guess checking for the voltage held me up before reconnecting to the green brake wire, never did get any voltage but everything is working again. thanks to those that offered suggestions
