on a 05' LLY i plan on doin this

5" straight piped exhaust
cold air intake
and a PPE economy programmer

with that i need to do the EGR plate and Finger stick right? so i dont throw codes...thats what i had understood..
but, would i need to do a boost stick too, or does it not work then the EGR is blocked??? i get all confused with thie EGR and electronic stuff...thanks

First of all bro,make a signature by clicking on USER CP in the top right, and clicking 'edit signature' so we all know what you have and what your workin with...hahaa,I said 'what your workin with' .

Anyway,
When you block the EGR,you do need the fingers stick (FS) to keep from getting the Check Engine Light (CEL) . The FS just tells the computer that the EGR is working normally,hence why you wont get the CEL.

The boost stick is completely different. It just sends the computer a different signal at the Boost Sensor so the computer will let the truck run more boost.

Try putting in the blocker plate without the finger stick first. With FE9 emisions chances are you won't need the stick. I installed a plate and just unpluged my EGR valve and I get no codes at all. I bought the plate on E-bay for $5.00.

ok, i will try it 1st too, how hard is it to unplug it or where? also man, since u done that, what MPG u gettin in ur LLY??

My Bullydog intercepts the codes.. I think I need a boost stick though. My boost was only ruuning around 17

The plug is on the passenger side, middle/front area right under the big black intake tube. I average 14-15 mpg winter, 17-18 summer, as high as 22 highway and 10-11 towing 13,000lbs.
