I have some questions about the transmission cooler lines. I know lots of people have had problems with them leaking, and while mine are OK so far, I want to correct the problem before it happens. With my luck, I'll have one come apart 1000 miles from home pulling my camper in the rain.
I want to do something similar to what I did to my Camaro. The car has a 700r4, and the fittings on the tranny are 1/4npt. I used 1/4npt/-6an adapters and ran braided stainless lines to a separate cooler. Works great, keeps the tranny cooler than the radiator mounted cooler, and doesn't leak a drop.
Does anyone know what size the fittings on the transmission itself are?
Thanks!
Dave
