I know that some of you have been through this before but I can't seem to find the information on the installation of a boost guage for the lly engine. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that you drill and tap the intercooler pipe that goes into the intake manifold, and were do you hook up to the lights that go to the guages.-:t

Quick question guys,

How is it that the Edge Monitor is able to display boost with out a tap? Is there a way to find out where that particular sensor is and use that with lets say an autometer gauge?

as far as I know you still have to tap the manifold for the attitude to read boost.. its in the instruction manual for the monitor itself.

Briano,

Did you tap your truck to get your edge to display a boost reading? Hummmmmm I pluged my edge and monitor in and..........the monitor displayed boost w/out any taps.

Not For Certain, But My Banks Kit Was The Same,as Far As Plug & Play. It Must Use The Factory Wireing That It Ties Into To Read Boost,as Far As How To Tell What Wire,i Dont Know.......someone Here Will Have That Answer For You Im Sure.

No, the Attitude uses the ECM's value for boost.

I welded a bung in the intercooler pipes for my analog Autometer boost gage. Worked really well.

Turbo lcc,

I can't thank you enough for that link. I installed two carbon fiber autometer air preasure gauges on a tri A-Pilar. The gauges are for my firstone air-bag setup. I have a gauge for each side. I'm not sure what i'm going to put in the 3rd spot. Either a pyro or a boost not sure yet. But thanks a buch for your help

F.Y.I if anyone ever thinks about doing what i did think twice. It took me all friggin day to customize this thing so it was perfect. They don't leave you much space between the stock A-pilar and the snap on tri pilar so i had to use my air saw and a great deal of patience to assemble this thing right. It Looks a 110 times better than those cheap ass gauges that come with the dual controle kit.
