Just installed the Edge and took it out for a ride, first thing i noticed is the check engine light is on. How can I clear that? Or is that normal?

The juice pulls hard, so far seems great, i even popped it into level 5 breifly just to feel it in 1-2nd gear.

Turbo does seem to bark in level 3 around 60-70mph, is that normal?

Sorry for the dumb questions. Truck is stock other than that. I dont have the temp probe installed yet, if that makes a difference.

Are you using the Attitude? I installed mine without the monitor and set it using the gearshift and the throttle no problems runs like a champ. Only four levels though but anything over 90 HP without tranny mods will most likely melt the tranny after awhile Try taking of the attitude and see what happens.

Check Engine is not good. Try disconnecting, and then reconnect the unit. See if that helps. After a few cycles of the ignition it should go away.

Sometimes it happens, and you have to send it back to edge to be reflashed.

Ok its fixed I think. Check engine light is off and it didn't seem to bark. So I guess all is good. I didn't put in the temp probe yet, should i be concerened with that? Or shoudl I make it a point to have it put in?

When ever you get around to it, it doesent hurt anything not to have it hooked up.

Piece of mind and save $6,000 for a new power plant. I put em on mine just for towing a 15K trailer uphill at 70 MPH.

I have been told that whatever code was thrown will remain stored in your vehicle's computer and will show up if/when you take it to a dealership and they hook it up to a Tech II

What should I do next exhaust?

I recommend it along with getting rid of the Kitty and adding the EGR defeater from Fingers and Robby.

yes lower EGT's with the exhaust.

Ok the real question. I pull a 26ft enclosed trailer, with a 3000lb truck in it pretty regular. Do I need an exhaust if im say running it in level 2/3 to pull? If I need it I will get it, but I was reading another post were it says its only dropping the egts by 100ish. I also have to have my truck pass inspection every year. SO I will need my CAT on it probably. Any help would be cool!

I would get the exhaust if you are doing any towing with the Edge or any other chip.

I'd look at getting a Turbo back exhaust that you can bolt the Cat pipe back in once a year for inspection. I have my exhaust setup like that and couldn't be happier.

The egt probe is important because the juice will back down as soon as too high of egt's are met. I found my egt's were a little high for my taste when I matted in stage 4. I went ahead an welded in a straight pipe to resolve the problem. I dropped about
150 egts. I can jump on it in stage 5 and my egt's don't come close to 1300 degrees.

I'd be concerned about egts  without the probe attached... I would "get er done" before the exhaust and Afe .. But thats just MHO.. good luck have fun):h

The EGT probe adds a lot of fun factor, and you get to see the affect of your mods as you add them. Don't use it over level one towing until you have put it in. Level 3, empty keeps you out of trouble also, just rules of thumb.

Graphicdisorder, what are your impressions now?

I love it, it really is a big difference, I will get the probe done, I dont trust myself doing it though, im not sure where to take it either to get it done?

Other than that ill probably get an exhaust for it too soon.

Help,
2004 2500HD Duramax LLY. 19K miles. Stock tires and wheels.
Last week, I installed the Juice w/Attitude
2 days later, I installed the Banks 4" exhaust (after the Cat)
4 days later (today) the check engine light came on!!!!!
it is a steady on. in the manual, it says that it is the emission system malfunction?
what should I do?
besides the above modifications, it is a stock truck.
please help.

I disconnected the Juice, and drove it for a block, and stop the engine, and start it again, and drove it for a block, the check engine light went away.

now what? should I plug the juice back?
will the check engine light come back again?
is this normal? do I have to do this all the time?
this will have a record in my computer?
please advice. :)
thanks
