This is on a 2001 3500 D/A that I just purchased on Tuesday from a used car dealer here in St Marys, GA. Traded my 2001 2500 Extended Cab LT with a 6.0 + $6500. This is my first diesel, so I'm soaking up all the knowledge on the site. As a side note, the transfer case is making a terrible noise, diagnosed to be failed plastic retainers on the output shaft bearings. The day I took it in, the 2 days the mech. was at school, 2 day weekend, 1 day trouble shooting and ordering parts, 2 days waiting for the parts and the last day finally fixing it and me picking it up. 2 injectors, #4 and#5, replaced at 884 miles, (fuel filled crankcase and rough idle where the only indications, I had, of a problem) 1033 miles 35.8 hrs 28.9 avg 90% of these miles are intown or driving 10 miles oneway to work.
