I only made a 1" block for mine. I made it out of slab steel that i had laying around 1" thick. I measured the brace that is welded onto the the axle tube for the dimensions on what to make the blocks to. I believe it was something close to 2"x5", just measure between the u-bolts to figure out how wide to go. As for the centering pin measure the middle of your block in both directions then mark your center. Drill a whole all the way through the block (whatever size the whole peg is) then i just took a bolt that fit tight into the peg of the bracket of the axle tube cut the head off of it and placed it into the hole drilled. Let it stick out enough to go through the bracket to center it and then left it inside the block enough for the leafspring to mate to the block. I welded the bolt on the inside of the block to hold it in place. Then just put them in. I measured it out and a 1" block is all i could fit using the stock u-bolts so that is all i did for the time being.
As for a two in block you will have to just weld a peg to the bottom and drill a hole in the top just a 1/2" down to accept the spring. You must have u-bolts already made or purchased if your doing a 2" block?

one thing you have to watch out for when making blocks is that you shouldn't go more that 1.5"-2" because then you get into tappered blocks which are harder to make and you can screw up your rearend angle.

Thanks guys!

Well, I already brought some longer u-bolts with me from my last USA trip that should allow 2" blocks. But I couldnt find blocks and now decided to do them myself ;)

I only want 2-2,5" as the front is raised with the cognito uca´s and now I dont like the stance anymore, back has to be higher :D

@ Soupys 4X4:
What is the diameter of the centerpin?

@ supermotodave:
If i want to add some more block heights, what would be the right angle to tapper? Do you do supermoto in the US? I just thought to make a supermoto out of my CRF450 :ro)

Centerpin is 10mm.
I Used a 10mm Cap Screw (ln Hex Socket), the head with a very slight dressing was a nice snug fit in the axle bracket,:) used one the correct lenght to go right through the block + spring pack.
I've only got a 1/2" block.

Usually about 8mm-10mm differnce from the front to back. I have a 3" block I just took out that I can measure tomorrow. By the way, Im in Hungary, and I run a US only shop. I get all my pars from the US. We also do a lot of fabrication, like ss exhausts and so on. If need any help give me a ring tomorrow. Here is my cell phone # 0036209442667. My name is Csaba Tuboly.
