Who has the alcoa center caps or Weld center caps on the stock wheels? I would like to get rid of the stock center cap and 8 plastic nuts to get to the real lug nuts. I've seen some guys with the alcoa center cap and the weld center cap in pictures here and they look like they would fit.
It looks like the alcoa fit from behind and the weld have a flange that is locked down by using the lug nuts, is this right?

Dieselman, I have weld's my caps front and back snap in from the outer part of the wheel. It has a keeper ring(I don't know what it's called) that keeps it from popping out. I think the Alcoa's have the flanges on the rear and snap in on the front. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks. You're running these on weld wheels though, not the stock rims, correct? I was hoping to fit nice looking, but easily removed, center caps to the stock rim. Do you think they'd fit?

I don't know. If I remember right the stock wheels fit tightly around the hubs. And the forged Aluminum are thicker, so it is built out a bit from the hub. So there is room to a cop fit. Again, someone correct me if I am wrong. I am expecting another rim today or tomorrow. I'll take a close look.

Dieselman,
Sorry for the wait! Just received the replacement wheel from Weld yesterday. The bore is 2 1/4" deep. I was not able to get my stock rims from storage. But, I do have one as a spare, the depth of the stock bore is almost 3/8". I have pics of the Weld wheel bores, if you care for me to post them.

Can you post pictures earthcrusher? I'd like to see. Also, could you put the center cap with the oem wheel and show how it mounts? Thanks

If I remember right the hub of the truck leaves no room for a cap to snap in place. The hub should take up approx. 70% of the depth of the hub bore.

Earthcrusher,
I have a SRW as it's a 2500HD. I was hoping the center cap would pop on the OEM wheel. Do you think it's possible? Thanks for all the help.
