I am starting to get nervous about my 05 lly truck. I am having the banks installed in a week and I am moving out to Colorado I am worried about the warranty. If I take out the box and leave in my gauges and all I was told it would be ok. Anyone have any problems with this and or experience in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:pColorado</st1:State> of some place that was cool with the truck looking like it was modified? Please let me know. This is something that has been asked many of times i am sure. But know on has given any answer of having problems or not. I am hopping some of has a good place in Colorado that i can go to.

Hey, lets face it the Manufacturers and dealers are not stupid. They know owners are gonna do things to their vehicles that were never intended to be done. The fact remains in the eyes of the law that unless the modification was the cause of the warranty problem itself and the dealer or manufacturer can't prove this, it is against the law to withhold the warranty service. It is however up to you to make this happen. Many service writers will give you the runaround and your gonna have to stay firm if you don't want to get the shaft. Guages are in no way an indictment of guilty of modifications. So what if you want to see your temps rollin down the road, its your right. This is the sole reason why I chose the Predator over the Six Gun or the EDGE. It plugs in and then unplugs never to be seen.

Just unplug the wiring harness, and pull the unit out. It's a pain, but it's better than going in and getting flagged for no more warranty.

I purposely made a ghetto switch mount for the 6gun switch that is just a piece of flat plastic I drilled to insert the switch, and I wedge it between the dash and my CB.

Look at the left hand side, above the edge of the CB.

I take it you installed it per their recommendations huh... I don't like putting holes in stuff unless it's absolutely necessary. Once I get a 3 gauge pillar, one of them will be a flat plate with the switch mounted in it while the other 2 are actual Gauges. Probably will have boost/pyro on the pillar, and a dual digital gauge for oil/transmission temperature. I trust the stock tranny temp, but I'd like to actually see where I sit so I can see if I need a bigger heater pad for the transmission pan. End result, I would like to plug it in and maintain 70-80* F on both, so they aren't like the tranny fluid I had to add on the alcan... that stuff was like pouring molasses..
