I know folks have reported problems when changing the factory set points for high idle - but don't remember if it was the initial setting (resume button 1 push that normally is the same as regular idle) or the first increment (second push of the resume button - like 1250). Was thinking about changing my initial set point to 1200 so I only have to push the remote start accy button once instead of twice for the high idle. Has anybody tried this and if so did it work well or cause problems?

From my experience any changes will screw it up. Wouldn't mess with it without EFI, tech 2 or spare computer.

I have a tech2 - that's how I was going to change it - have you tried changing one?

Yes I have. Spent a lot of time messing with it on my 04. The final result was a different ecm from trippin with my factory tune in it. Its a very strange deal but what you change, you won't be able to get it back. You would have to have access to the factory tune to reprogram it back.

Thought so, I'll leave as is - don't want to screw things up with the idle.
