What is the big advantage of these?

Just to strengthen the tie rods so you dont bust them, especially if doing 4WD launches. Broken tie rod = no steering. Stock ones are like little pencils, pretty sad for a 50k truck

The OEM tie rods are smaller than the ones on my Jetta. When off roading or acually using the 4x4, the tie rods bend/break.

The sleeves (sold by SD, I believe) fit around the tie rods, and make them much stronger.

Ill have to wait until I break one before I put on the sleeves.......Not sure why. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif
