One of the magazines I get somebody wrote in and was taking about idling their diesel.
"...Electronic diesels have a computer storage register that track the total operating time and total idle time. It is a simple procedure to have a CAT or CUMMINS tech print it out..."
They go on to talk about they have a Freightliner and how "extended idling can void your warranty."
Ok so I don't have either of the above engines, but my question is--- does the Duramax (which I do have), have the same kind of storage register in the computer that shows time at idle?
I'm not wanting to start any "wars" about extended idle times,I'm just wondering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
