ok i put my 33"s on and i like them for a stock suspention truck. i recomend them to any one with stock suspention. between looks and everyhting i dont think theirs a down fal to them except the bug that goes with them. some can fight off this bug but others cant.

i got bite by this bug and want to go higher. i got a 3" lift block and green keys on the way with rancho rs9000x shocks. now i see people with 2" of lift and 35"s and their happy with no rubbing and stuff but i want more. maybe i am crazy i dont know.

but opinions needed. how would my truck look and how practical would it be with 3" lift and 35"s? now i dont need to tow 20,000 lb at the most 10,000 a couple times a year. its nothing a d-max wont handel. but i would rather do 3 with 35s now while i can still switch my 33's for 35s than kick my self in the but later.

thanks.
i hate to keep posting about tires and lifts but i want to do it once and be done with it. all of you can understand that i hope

You might be able to get away with 35's on an H2 rim w/ 5 1/2" of backspacing, but anything else will probably rub. Also, IMO you don't want the "stuffed" look by trying to fit tires without the proper height lift. With 35's I would recommend a 6" suspension lift. If you run a quality lift & shocks your truck will even ride better than stock.

There are lots and lots of posts on this forum in regard to lifts. IMO it all boils down to the "how high" question. First you need to decide on a height, then manufacturer ...wheels/tires, etc.

If you want to go more then +2" over stock then you need a real lift kit IMO (no keys). I agree with the posts above, if you want to run 35's I would highly recommend 6+" lift. A 4" lift is good for 33-34 tires which is what I have. In nearly all cases your truck will ride much better with a lift kit and aftermarket shocks. I had 35's on a 4" lift for awhile but had the "stuffed" look and rub problems.

For 4" lifts ... Rancho and Tuff Country are great lifts. 6-8" lifts ... CST and RCD are very popular. If you have specific questions regarding the lift I recommend you do a search as lots and lots of these questions have been asked already ...as well as the related tire/wheel questions.

Get ready to spend some $$$ :)

spending money is what i want to avoid. i have 33"s now and they fit/ look great. now with a 3" lift all the way around its gona look goofy with the 33"s i THINK. my final decision wont be until i get the lift done and i take a few hours to look at it. i just wanted opinions. although the ones i got are the ones i didnt want to hear but they are taken the right way and i understand where you guys are coming form. its still up in the air on what i am doing.

33's won't look silly with a 3" lift. If you view the picts on my main web page that is a 4" Rancho lift with 295/75R-16's ...close to 34" tires. If you click on the "Rancho 4" lift" link, you will see pictures with the same 4" lift and 35's ...not much difference IMO. Most all 4" lift kits are designed to be used with 33" tires and 6" lifts with 35" tires.

On edit: I misinterpreted "lift" as real lift-kit ...not keys and torsion bar crank.
