I have a stock 05 that i got exhaust installed last week.I put on a 5" t-backed straight through.I drove it for about 75 miles before the engine light came on. I borrowed my friends triple dog to read the codes and came up with, po299(boost a performance),po401 and 402.Now, 4 days later it doesnt even seem like my turbo is working! I get on it and it kicks the rpm's up to almost 3k and it gains maybe 1 or 2 mph in 500ft. Yesterday the engine light went off and it run real good for about 2 hrs. and then the light came back on and started running like shit! Any input would be good, im kinda new to diesels! thanks

I have read that the 401 and 402 can be fixed by installing the EGR blocker plate and fingerstick mod. Look in the do it yourself threads and you will find where to get one. I think Kennedy diesel has both for like 50 bucks.
I dont know the other code or the fuel issue.
but I think you have a CA emissions truck and this is common on them.

0299 is turbo under boost. when you say turbo back you mean the pipe that attaches to the turbo down pipe or the turbo down pipe also. (by down pipe i mean the pipe that is attached on the back of the turbo. not two feet from the turbo exit.)
do you have any sort of intake system on the truck.?

The pipe off the turbo is 4" for about a foot and a half and then it goes into a 5" with no cat. I dont currently have a intake but i will in a few weeks.

i'm running 5" on mine w/ just the egr unplugged, and i've never had an issue. i did have that problem one time but it was b/c of the boost controller goin bad.

Never had a problem with mine either? Funny how some do that and others dont.

i was just saying that because i had heard some on here expressed that they were throwing codes when the just went to a 5 inch....and did nothing else....

Ca. emissions will always throw codes.

You need a finger stick and blocker plate. I had the same problem when I first installed my exhaust. When I pull a P0299, my boost will not go over 20, and the performance of the truck degrades, until I clear the code.
